Returns and Exchanges

All returns and exchanges must be made within 14 days of when the item was received. Returned items must be in their original condition with tags attached.  Earrings, swimsuits, lingerie, apothecary items, and all items marked “Final Sale” are not eligible for return.  Items with a 50% off or more discount are only eligible for store credit or exchange and are not eligible for a refund.  All footwear returns must include the original shoebox in its original condition, without postal labels.

Once Bitten reserves the right to refuse a return if the item does not meet these requirements.

You can return your item for store credit or a size/color exchange & receive a free return shipping label. All other returns are subject to a shipping label fee. Shipping label will be emailed after your return or exchange request has been approved. If you choose to return an item with your own shipping label, we recommend purchasing delivery confirmation/tracking/insurance. Items lost during return transit aren’t eligible for refund.

To Request a Return or Exchange: Email with your order number and the reason you would like to return your item. We’ll offer a ready-to-print shipping label. If you choose to use our label, your refund will be deducted by the price of the shipping label when refund is processed.

The package that your order was shipped in is returnable. Fill out the return form included in your order and include it with your return. Simply re-seal your package and put the shipping label we emailed you on the outside of your package, making sure to cover the old shipping label.

Returns are processed within 5-7 business days of receiving your return. Customers will be notified by email once their return has been processed. Refunds are processed back onto original form of payment.

Holiday Return Policy: All orders placed within November 25 and December 25 are given additional time for return processing. Orders placed within this time frame are given 30 days from original shipment for return.



Orders are typically processed within 1-3 business days excluding holidays and weekends. Once your order is processed, it ships USPS Priority and typically arrives within 1-3 business days. International orders may take longer than this.  Once your order ships you will receive an automated email with tracking information.


Information We Collect

We collect information (including name, address, telephone number, email address and, when necessary, credit card information and date of birth) when you:

  • Place an order by phone or on our web site
  • Return an item or make an exchange
  • Inquire about our services
  • Register and create an account with
  • Subscribe to our Email Newsletter

We maintain the necessary data that you provide us, along with a record of your purchases, in a secure database.

To best serve you, we may combine this information with data that is publicly available and data that we receive from other reputable sources whose policies meet the Direct Marketing Association’s privacy standards.

We also gather information about how visitors navigate through our Web site by using clickstream data gathered with “cookies” and/or other online tools such as “pixel tags.”

Necessary Information Shared for Payments & Shipping

We contract with other companies to provide certain services including credit card processing, shipping, name and address verification and email distribution.

We provide these companies with only the information they need to perform their services and work closely with them to ensure that your privacy is respected and protected.

These companies are prohibited by contract from using this information for their own marketing purposes or from sharing this information with anyone other than Once Bitten.

On rare occasions, we may disclose specific information upon governmental request, in response to a court order, or when required by law to do so.

We may also share information with companies assisting in fraud protection or investigation.

We do not provide information to these agencies or companies for marketing or commercial purposes.

Your Choices

We offer choices about the types of information you receive from us.

If you prefer not to receive product info or other communications from Once Bitten or prefer to receive them less frequently, you may unsubscribe by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in our emails, reply to any email with the subject “unsubscribe” or contact us via our contact form.

You may not unsubscribe from receiving order confirmation emails or communications regarding your order or account.

How We Use Email

When you provide us with your email address, we will send you emails necessary to process your order, respond to a request, provide customer service or promote products or services.

For example, after you place an order at, you will receive an email confirmation and (in most cases) an email with package tracking information.

Updating or Reviewing Your Information

To update your customer information (name, address, telephone number and email, ect.), please login or register at the link at the top of the page.

Once you have logged in, you can click the link My Account to change your email address, password, phone number, address and subscribe or unsubscribe from our monthly newsletter.

On the internet a “cookie” is a small data file that is stored by your Web browser on your computer.

Cookies enable you to easily place an order on our Web site without losing track of your order information.
